Emilie and I arrived in Spain after two long flights (SD to Atlanta, Atlanta to Madrid) on August 24th. We had time for lunch at an outdoor cafe before our three hour train journey to Malaga which is in southern Spain, an area called Andalusia.
From the first day, Emilie proved herself to be a flexible, cheerful traveling companion with an excellent sense of direction and great map navigating skills. Her ability to speak Spanish to waiters, taxi drivers, clerks, and strangers also helped make the trip go smoothly from start to finish. It was a thrill for me to have this special time with my precious only granddaughter, and I will cherish my memories. There were many highlights amongst our experiences in Spain, but the one that comes to my mind right away is flamenco. We had four nights in Seville, and on every single one we enjoyed different flamenco performances.
